Skyscrapers lit up at night

The Port Avalon Breakers move into Harbor Arena next week, with 3,000 more seats, a new scoreboard and the same question that hung over last season: who gets the ball when a shot misses?

The Breakers were last in the league in rebounding a year ago and lost seven games by three points or fewer. In the summer they traded for center Marcus Oyelaran, who averaged 11 rebounds a game for Lakeport.

Breakers: first week

  1. Oct 22 Breakers 7:30 p.m. Lakeport Comets Season opener, Harbor Arena
  2. Oct 25 Northgate Kings 8:00 p.m. Breakers
  3. Oct 27 Breakers 6:00 p.m. Bay City Herons Family night

The opener against Lakeport, Oyelaran’s old team, is Oct 22 at 7:30 p.m.
